Webcomicography is a weekly article from Champion City Comics that goes behind the scenes of our webcomics to give you the complete story. This week we are starting part two of our series for The End of Paradise, a crime noir tale of revenge. Did you miss part one and two of the story? Click here to read part one, click here to read part two, click here to read part three, click here to read part four, and click here for part five.

The first twenty pages introduced the main characters, Nick Hamilton and Marshall Jackson. Also, the first twenty pages made references to the following villains: Frankie Paradise, Trent Reynolds, and Sato Akio. This portion of The End of Paradise introduces readers to Trent Reynolds and Frankie Paradise.

Let's review page 21 below.

Frankie Paradise is the crime lord of New Ravenwood, Ohio, but he's in hiding. I wanted him hiding somewhere unusual, so I decided to have Paradise hiding out in a bunker below a convent.

Let's review page 22 below.

Sister Helen Agnes is a reference to a teacher my mom had as a child. The stories that my mom would tell about Sister Helen Agnes were chilling. She would hit the students and my mom told a story of Sister Helen Agnes bashing a kid's face into the chalkboard because he could not do a math problem.I thought I'd let the legend live on in this comic book.

Let's review page 23 below.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Trent Reynolds.

Let's review page 24 below.

The password for the bunker comes from Luke 23:43 in the Bible. Jesus said those words to one of the thieves that was also being crucified.

Let's review page 25 below.

The introduction of Trent Reynolds and the trip down to the bunker did not need that much dialogue. I hope you enjoyed this week's version of Webcomicography.
